Make sure to wear your ESR gear for this run!
The run starts at 9:00. There will be a run briefing before the start so the start time for this event is 8:30.
Check out the parkrun website to get the details on the run. Several ESR members have run at the parkrun before and have had great experiences. It is a well organized, no-cost timed event, although racing is optional. People run/walk/stride at all paces.
Things to consider from ESR member and Parkrun volunteer Dean Faber:
-We would prefer folks to get registered; that way they will get a time posted on the website. If they don't, we will still record the time, but they will show up as an unknown runner. So not necessary to register, but will not get a time posted.
-Ask that they please grab a token as they finish, even if they are not registered. Our timing depends on the tokens handed out match the times recorded by the timekeepers. These are all volunteers who may or may not have a lot of experience at it, so need to make it easy for them.
I would also emphasize this at the run briefing, but if we have quite a few new runners that day, just a heads up on what to expect.
