  • Biking from Seattle:, Cross the I-90 west bridge span, stay on the main trail to the top of the lid.
  • Driving from Seattle: I-90 E across the west bridge span. Take the first Mercer Island exit (West Mercer Way; before you enter the lid). At the exit ramp stop sign, turn right on Mercer Way. Take an immediate left on SE 24th Street. Take the next left on 66th Avenue SE (which turns into SE 22nd St). Park along SE 22nd St.
  • Biking from the Eastside: I-90 across the east bridge span (there is a connecting trail from the Bellevue Way park-and-ride), keep pedaling up to the lid on the west end of the island.
  • Driving from the Eastside: I-90 W across the east bridge span. Take the second Mercer Island exit (Island Crest Way - exit 7). At the exit ramp stoplight, go straight on North Mercer Way. Continue to stop sign at 76th Avenue SE and turn left. Cross over I-90, turn right at the first opportunity, SE 24th Street. Over the top of the hill, turn right on 71st Avenue SE down to the park and park along SE 22nd St.

Meet by the street parking along SE 22nd St (or, The Park on the Lid).

Directions to parking garage: Turn right onto 72nd Ave SE; Left onto SE 24th St; Right onto 76th Ave SE; Bear left at SE 27th St; Garage entrance is on the right between 78th and 80th Ave SE
