Saturday Morning Run - Gary Grant Soos Creek Park / Lake Youngs

Run Leaders - Mike Rumer

Driving Directions:

Breakfast: TBD

Course Description: Run starts at 8:30am

This run offers something for everyone! Runners wishing to run the rolling trail at Lake Youngs will depart from the parking area, heading south on the Soos Creek Trail .5 miles to the Soos Creek - Lake Youngs connector trail, which after an additional .5 miles connects to the Lake Youngs trail. Runners can do the entire Lake Youngs loop, for a total of approximately 10 miles, or can do an out-and-back run on the Lake Youngs trail. The Lake Youngs Trail is a gravel/dirt trail that cicles around the reservoir at Lake Youngs. Runners wanting a flatter, paved option can choose to run the Soos Creek Trail northbound (for a shy 3 mile out and back through woods, meadows, and wetlands) or southbound to Lake Meridian (for approximately 8 miles through wetlands and forests). Those wanting a long run can put the two together, for approximately 16 miles total.

Possible Routes - Lake Youngs (1MB)
